The description of the sandwich is "Yummie!" Instead of opening the desk: try opening the drawer Instead of closing the desk: try closing the drawer The hamster is a thing. The hamster is on the desk. The hamster is an animal. Understand "pet" as the hamster. Instead of taking the hamster: say "He slips through your fingers and runs away." Petting is an action applying to one visible thing. Understand "pet [something]" as petting. Carry out petting something: say "You pet [the noun]."
