The cyborgs, the humans, I've got to get there..."; The cold metal cell is a room. The description of the cold metal cell is "A metal cell. I thought I was going to use it to store the parts. I was just trying to help them..." The carrying capacity of the player is 10. A hologram system #1 is here. "A hologram system is on the wall with something projected through it." The description of the hologram system is "Patient number 1: synthetic arm began to move on its own. Patient deceased." The Hologram system #1 is fixed in place. Instead of taking the hologram #1: say "That isn't yours to take?" A table is here. "There is a table in the corner of the room." Instead of the player taking the table: say "You cannot take the table. Besides, it isn't worth it." The description of the table is "A metal table. It looks just like the walls of the room." The table is a supporter. A box of matches is here. "There is a box of matches on the table." The description of the box of matches is "Matches burn wood. They can't burn metal though." The small metal bucket is a container. A small metal bucket is here. "There is a small metal bucket by the table." Instead of taking the small metal bucket: say "You cannot pick up the bucket. It will slow you down if you do. Time is of the essence. You can hear a cyborg off in the distance. They must be getting restless" The description of the small metal bucket is "A small metal bucket that contains some snacks." The description of the snacks are "A few snacks Surgeons get hungry too!" The rations are edible. The wooden room is north of the cold metal cell. The Wooden room is a room. The description of the wooden room is "Not as cold as the metal box. This is were fellow surgeons stay and rest before another patient would come in. There are so many memories. It can be hard to think about how science could cause all of this destruction. Something has to be done." The Secret Area is a region. The cold metal cell and the Wooden room are in the Secret Area. The research lab is east of the wooden room. The research lab is a room. The description of the research lab is "People were are here doing good. The dying people. Everything is going to be saved. What went wrong?" A box of rations is here. The description of the box of rations is "A box of rations. You should probably only take the organic food, not all the wires." instead of taking the box of rations: say "The box is just to big and cyborgs can run so fast..." There is food in the box. The description of the food is "A few snacks Surgeons get hungry too!" The surgery room is east of the research lab. The description of the surgery room is "The surgery room is where all the magic happened...WAIT! What's that? Must be the cyborg after me." The surgery room is a room. An Author's Note is here. The outside world is east of the control room. The outside world is a room. The description of the outside world is "Well now that I know where I am, I need to stop this once and for all. All of this science it is just too much. You can change everything except human nature. It just isn't right. I need to stop this." There is a violet poster. The city square is east of the outside world. The city square is a room. The description of the city square is "All of these bodies, I knew them. You there! Send for a helicopter. These people need help, but not from me. I have a job to do." The cellar is a scene. The cellar begins when the player is in the city square for the first turn. When cellar begins: move the player to the large cellar room; say "You need to think and hide. If anybody finds you, human or not, you are dead. You need to stay alive. You duck down to avoid the security drones." The description of the large cellar room is "An old cellar used for storage. The little kids in the city used to love playing hide and seek in it." The Science Building is north of the wooden room. The science Building is a room. The description of the science Building is "The Committee of Science in Metropolis declares that this building be used for the latest and greatest scientific advancements. May knowledge be with you." The Lobby is north of the Science Building Door. The lobby is a room. A frosted metal box is here. The description of the frosted metal box is "The box is frozen shut. In the good old days, these used to hold all the important items." The frosted metal box is a locked opaque closed container. Instead of the player taking the frosted metal box: say "This might weigh 100 lbs. You sure aren't taking it anywhere." Instead of the player taking the melted metal box: say "This might weigh 100 lbs. You sure aren't taking it anywhere." The melted metal box is a closed openable container. The initial appearance is "The ice has melted. Maybe I can open it now." There is a key card in the melted metal box. The description of the melted metal box is "The hinges seem loose. I could open it now." Instead of opening the metal box when the metal box is locked: say "The ice should melt in a little bit. Maybe I should take a little rest. I feel like whatever is in there could really help. I'm going to need all the help I can get to fix what I have done." After opening the melted metal box: say "Perfect! A key! Where these is a key, there is a lock just waiting to be opened." The description of the Lobby is "The lobby is so blank now. There used to be hundreds of people waiting to get some of our BioGear. Their hearts have so much hope. I feel awful." The Gray Door is a door. The Gray Door can be opened. The Gray Door is north of the Science Building and south of the Lobby. The key unlocks the gray Door. The conference room is north of the city square. The conference room is a room. The description of the conference is "The science building always leads in and out of the city. I loved sitting here discussing plans with the other scientists and looking out to the city streets. It is just like a campus. Everything is dark and cold. I have to shut it all down. Maybe then science can return." A dead cyborg is here. "The cold, hard corpse of a cyborg are found in the corner of the room. You see something a flickering light from its body. You should probably check it out." The test room is south of the city square. The test room is a room. The description of the test room is "You have no words. The room is just another reassurance of your mission." A synthetic arm is here. The description of the synthetic arm is "I remember this. That little girl from the valley needed this. She smiled so much after the procedure. I wonder where she is now." Above the lobby is the First Floor. The First Floor is a room. The description of the First Floor is "You start to hear the living cyborg more clearly now. Its sounds are inaudible, but you are scared to find out what it is trying to say. You need to get upstairs. The stairs look burnt and the levitation pad has been ripped up. (Authors Note: look for something to get upstairs.)." A step stool is here. The step stool is fixed in place. The step stool is scenery. The description of the step stool is "I can use this to get upstairs." There is a red trapdoor. The red trapdoor is locked. The red trapdoor is above the First Floor and below the Second Floor. The red trapdoor can be unlocked. The Second Floor is above the hatch. The Second Floor is a room. The description of the Second Floor is "The farther up, the more serious the procedure." The break room is east of the Second Floor. The break room is a room. The description of the break room is "A place for researchers and surgeons to relax for a few moments and to take in their great scientific strides. I may need a break after all of this. I am getting tired." A hologram system #2 is in the break room. "A hologram has a message on it." The description of the hologram system #2 is "You can shut it down. Trust me. Find a way. You have to." The levitation pad is west of the Elevator Door. The levitation pad is a room. The description of the levitation pad is "A powerful wind machine that delicately blows the user up to the Third Floor." There is an Elevator Door. The Elevator is a door. The Elevator Door is locked. The Elevator Door is closed. The Elevator Door can be opened. There is a levitation door. The levitation door is a door. The levitation Door is west of the Second Floor and east of the levitation pad. The key unlocks the levitation Door. The hallway is above the levitation pad. The Third Floor is east of the hallway. The hallway is a room. The description of the Corridor is "I can either go east or west. No matter what, I can hear the cyborg. It just depends on where he is, and where the master room is." The cyborg room is west of the hallway. The description of the cyborg room is "No. NO NO NO! You made the wrong decision. You can't run and you can't hide. He is just way to strong. This is the end." Death is a scene. Death begins when the player is in the cyborg for the first turn. When death begins: say "You tried your best. Hopefully somebody else will try and end all of this. Your surroundings seem unfamiliar. Nothing seems familiar anymore." A dark metal box is here. The dark metal box is a container. There are some wires in the dark metal box. The description of the dark metal box is "Only the dark metal boxes remain the same." A briefcase is here. "A briefcase sits flopped over in the corner of the room." The briefcase is an open container. The briefcase is fixed in place. There is a blue key card in the briefcase. "This key looks especially useful." The cafeteria is west of the wooden room. The cafeteria is a room. The description of the cafeteria is "There isn't anytime for food. You have a cyborg army to stop." A wooden box is here. The wooden box is a closed container. The wooden box is openable. There are several bottles of water in the wooden box. The bottles of water are edible. The description of the bottles of water is "You are pretty thirsty after all of this running. But its unmarked. " Instead of eating the water: say "The water wasn't water. It was medicine that is used to clear out a patient before surgery. You drank too much and now you are passed out on the floor. "; end the story. The office is south of the cafeteria. The office is a room. The description of the office is "This is where all the fancy business men would come in and try and take all of our money. They weren't doing it for the people. They even encouraged us to skip safety precautions. They claim they are scientists too." A jumper cable is here. "A jumper cable is rolled up on the ground." An battery is here. "A battery is on the ground." The description of the battery is "Fortunately, there seems to be no battery acid around the edges. This could prove valuable." The description of the jumper cable is "Classic red and black jumper cables. The engineers loved fiddling with these." The custodial closet is south of the office. The custodial closet is a room. The description of the custodial closet is "You enter what you think is the custodial closet. In fact, it is much bigger than that. It is a bit hard to see. You are disoriented and hear sirens going off in the background. The cyborg army must be approaching." The Sad Little Cyborg is a scene. The Sad Little Cyborg begins when the player is in the custodial closet for the first turn. A little cyborg is a person. "A little girl who has been turned into a cyborg approaches you. The one half of her face that is organic is crying. The other is full of whirling gears." When The Sad Little Cyborg begins: say "A little cyborg is hiding in the custodial closet. I hope you have some defense."; now the little cyborg is in the custodial closet; if the player is not carrying the metal rod: end the story; say "Did you really drop that metal rod from the beginning?."; otherwise: now the little cyborg is off-stage; move the metal corpse to the custodial closet; say "You killed the little cyborg with the metal rod!"; now the frosted metal box is off-stage; now the melted metal box is in the lobby. The metal corpse is a supporter. "The remains are not horrific. Just a quick hit in the metal, robot neck." The hologram note is on the metal corpse. The description of the hologram note is "There are plenty of ways to shut it down. Look around." There is a Master Hallway. The Master Hallway is a room. The description of the Master Hallway is "You find the huge master room. You need to get in and shut the program down before the army gets to the city square. You have acquired quite a few keys...I hope you remember which ones you have." The description of the blue key card is "A Key to the master room." The description of the master door is "The front door to the master room." The description of the master room is "There is a hologram with a large red button and a large blue button. Metropolis decided to keep their science simple, yet dangerous" The description of the red button is "There isn't a description. Don't they say never to press the red button?" This is the red button rule: say "Trust me, you really shouldn't press that." The description of the blue button is "You hear the sirens shut down. A large metal clacking noise clicks. The cyborg army has been shut down. You hear citizens crawl from the shadows and into the city. You have won"; When play ends: say "Thanks for playing! :).";
