"[if Strange Room is unvisited] You awaken to find yourself in a strange, remote place with 3 openings: one North, another East, and the last West. You have no memory of who you are, where you come from, or why you're here. Only one thing had been embedded in your mind: Survive." The description of player is "You are wearing a plain white t-shirt and jeans. Nothing of particular interest can be found on you." In the Strange Room is a note. It is an object. After taking note: say "Unfolding the note, you read it to find that it says 5 - 14 - 5 - 19 - 19. What could it mean?" Instead of examining note: Say "5 - 14 - 5 - 19 - 19." Just because I'm blind doesn't mean you can steal from me! If you want my food, we might be able to make a bet for it. Bring me a drachma, then we'll talk." Instead of giving the coin to Phineus: say "So I understand that you have achieved the proper funds. Here's the bet: I will give you a riddle. If you solve it, you can take anything you want from me. But if I win, you must capture a harpy and bring her to me, a nearly impossible task when there are so many! So here is the riddle. Two cyclops guard two doors, one leads to freedom, and the other down into the depths of Hades's underworld. You may approach one cyclops and ask him one question about the doors, after which you must make a decision. However, the catch is that one cyclops always lies and one tells the truth. You're only allowed to ask one cyclops one question. What is the question that will guarantee that you can pick the right door?" Instead of in-correcting: say "Losing the bet, you head back to the Harpy Nest to capture one of the many harpies. Upon grabbing one, they all begin to swarm around. You try to fend for yourself, but there's just too many. They drag you down into the depths of the Underworld."; end the game in death. Winning is a scene. Winning begins when correcting. You buckle, and a heavy sense comes over you. Your last moments are spent looking at yourself turn to gold. Carry some sort of weapon to defend your self next time."; otherwise: now Midas is off-stage; now the coin is in the Golden Chamber; say "Showing off your lightning reflexes, you draw your sword and slash at the man before he reaches you, injuring, but not killing, him. Try reading that note more carefully."; end the game in death. East of The Gold Door is Intersection. Intersection is a room. "Beyond the Golden door, you find a room with openings in all directions. Each opening looks exactly the same." Instead of going north while in intersection: say "Going north you find a room with a highly decorative ceiling. The ceiling depicts what appears to be Zeus and his brothers fighting the Titan Kronos. Knowing from the book that the gods rebel against Kronos after he tries to eat them, you enjoy seeing pictures to accompany it other than just words. You approach the end when it suddenly stops mid story. 'What was that next part again?' you ask yourself, when you take one more step forward and fall into the pit of Tarturus. Oh yeah, that came next."; end the game in death. Instead of going east while in intersection: say "Heading eastward, you find yourself by a rocky beach (how did they fit this in an interior space?) with waves gently lapping against the shore. You just bout reach it when something hits you from the side, stunning you. Just before you pass out, you can hear voices talking about some sort of test. You try to listen, but reality falls away, leading to black nothingness. Congratulations, you won!
